SOLD: In the late seventies, the Pioneer catalogue described these cans as their “finest set of headphones” and added that a “black leather finish [earpads] invites for hours of stable and fatique-free music pleasure.” In regard to this pair, however, the sound quality was gone when I found them and repurposing them as catchall hooks seemed like the very best way to preserve some of their history.
Use them to hang your favorite ‘working’ headphones; near the front door to catch keys; in the kitchen or powder room for hand towels; in your dressing room for jewelry; or perhaps in your studio or office. (These are not the type of hooks that would accommodate heavy coats.)
Each Headphone Hook measures approx. 10.5″ from the very top to the bottom of the hook. Each has a metal keyhole hanger and a reclaimed metal hook attached to the back. These headphones are in very good vintage condition with only wear and use marks. The original ear pads (also in very good condition) are attached and provide a nice buffer to protect the wall.
