SOLD: Inspired by antique and vintage liquor chests, I’ve updated this classic idea for today’s home and modern lifestyle. Utilizing a reclaimed vintage speaker — the legendary AR 4x — and adding a variety of accessories, this box provides both decorative and mobile storage for more than your favorite cocktails.
Two bamboo boxes are included: one that contains six glass shooters/shot glasses and one for you to fill with bar utensils, cigars, pipes… (whatever works for you). The boxes sit atop three glass, screw-top jars to hold special blends to fill your pipe, an assortment of cocktail rimming salts or maybe those expensive gourmet jelly beans that you want to keep for yourself. Everything stacks neatly in the front, center section. (Liquor bottles in photo are not included.)
Beyond what’s described, this one-of-a-kind liquor caddy would be stunning as a decorative item filled with pillar candles, a wine carafe of flowers, or your collection of vintage bottles. This is truly a piece that can go easily from 21st century man cave to the traditional home library, and from the after dinner buffet to the modern cement countertop.
The box measures 22″ x 10″ and 9″ high. With sturdy brass handles, it weighs nearly 17 pounds (including accesories). I have left the bottom of the box as it was found with most of the original paperwork still attached. Although the paper has some water damage, the writing is legible and I have given it a clear coat of polyurethane to keep it from deteriorating any further. AND… no tweeter was harmed in the making of this item. When I came across this speaker, the drivers had been removed and sold.
